The Korczak Institute for New Music’s main partners are the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory and the Venetian Barchetta Blu Association.
Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello is one of Europe’s most important conservatories. It is based in historic Palazzo Pisani, Venice’s largest aristocratic townhouse and just a stone’s throw away from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto bridge.
The Conservatory hosts the Korczak Institute’s musical activities and is its partner in deciding on the winners of the Korczak Prize for exceptional young composers, a prize which is part of the Narrare in Musica – Narrating Music – Festival we will describe here.
Associazione Barchetta Blu is a research centre which designs and implements services and initiatives for children, families and those working with children.
It combines traditional educational and care services with complementary activities responding to an increasing demand for quality education.
Of these it is its creative, language and music workshops which stand out. This was the basis for the development and consolidation of its relationship with the Korczak Institute for New Music.
The foundation thus pursues a strategy focusing on establishing and maintaining strong relationships with partners, supplying ongoing support in joint projects.
This approach goes hand in hand with the active participation of the local community and sector professionals which helps expand the network and attract new partners.
This is why the institute is always open to new working relationships with bodies and associations sharing its values in order to work together in accordance with its mission.
Support for new opera work, musical education and promoting open and fair opportunities for young people to experiment with opera work are examples of our projects.
